The three DeKalb County Junior Pro teams began pre-season play Saturday at Tucker Stadium in Cookeville in the annual Junior Pro Jamboree.All three local squads met the White County Maroon Warriors at Tennessee Tech in games consisting of two ten-minute quarters to warm up for the 2011 season.The Pee-Wee team, consisting of 6-7 year old players, and the Junior squad, made up of 8-9 year old athletes, both tied the Maroon from Sparta, 0-0.The 10-11 year-old DeKalb Senior team bested the Senior Warriors 7-0.The pre-season jamboree is the first taste of competition for the Junior Pro teams.The event is the official registration and weigh-in for the youngsters as well. Junior Pro action will continue through October, and games are played every Saturday evening beginning at 5 p.m
