Nearly 90 of Tennessee’s best senior football players and more than a dozen coaches have been named to participate in this year’s East-West All-Star Classic, and local DCHS Tiger standout Isaac Knowles is among them. Knowles is listed as a wide receiver for the East team.
As of November 6 stats, Knowles has 937 receiving yards and six touchdowns, averaging 104 yards per game. Knowles also has 807 rushing yards, on 93 carries, with 13 touchdowns, averaging 90 yards per game.
“This event continues to be the marquee event in the state,” stated Bill Marbet, Executive Director of T.A.C.A. “College bound athletes from Memphis, Jackson, Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga and the Tri-Cities will participate in our game,” he added.
Leading the East squad this year will be Mt. Juliet Coach Trey Perry. Ingle Martin, head coach at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, leads the West staff.
Players will report to Clarksville on Tuesday, Dec. 7. Practice sessions will take place that same evening with two-a-days scheduled for both teams on Wednesday and Thursday of that same week.
The event, sponsored by the Tennessee Athletic Coaches Association (T.A.C.A.), will be held Friday, December 10, at Fortera Stadium on the campus of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Central Time.
