Ladies tennis gets win in Livingston

The DCHS ladies tennis team took the overall win from Livingston Academy in Smithville on April 21.

 

In the singles play, Anna Malone won 8-0, Hailey Walker won 8-0, Aspen Flarity won 8-1, Chloe White won 8-1, Haley Hale won 8-2, and Brooke Roller won 8-0. Doubles action saw Anna Malone & Hailey Walker win 8-4, and Haley Hale & Lydia Trail taking an 8-4 victory as well.

 

For the men’s team, Braxton Pugh won 8-1 in singles, Chandler Vincent lost 8-4, and Lane Ball lost 8-2. In doubles, Braxton Pugh and Lane Ball lost in an 8-7 tie-breaker.

 

The team then traveled to Clay County to finish up the regular season on April 22.

 

The ladies took a 5-2 victory, with Chloe White winning 8-4 in singles play, Haley Hale losing 8-5, Aspen Flarity winning 9-7, Hailey Walker winning 8-3 and Anna Malone losing 8-6. In Doubles, Chloe White and Aspen Flarity won 6-2 and Anna Malone and Hailey Walker won 4-3.

 

In men’s singles action, Lane Ball won 8-6 and Braxton Pugh lost 8-1.

 

The district tennis tournament will begin on April 27 at Tennessee Tech.
