The DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints took a win in the first round of the James C. Haile State Tournament Saturday, taking the West Middle School Lady Bobcats from Tullahoma down 32-23. The Lady Saints led West Middle 8-0 at the end of the first period of play, and while DMS was outscored 7-6 in the second, they held on to a 14-7 lead at the half. The DMS lead was expanded to 27-13 after a 13-6 third period went their way, and the Lady Saints went on to win the game 32-23.
