The DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints were eliminated in the semi-final round of the James C. Haile State Tournament on Jan. 24.

The Ladies from DMS were defeated 44-28 by White County Middle School. White outscored DeKalb 11-3 in the first period of play, and led the second period 13-4 to take a 24-10 lead into the locker room at the half. White County score nine points in the third, while DeKalb answered with eight, and an 11-10 fourth quarter in White’s favor sealed the deal and a 44-28 win for WCMS.

Kadee Ferrell led the Lady Saints offensive effort with 12 points, Kennedy Agee, scored seven, Megan Cantrell put five in for DMS, and Mallori Hart added four.
