The DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints extended their season last week by winning the first round of the James C. Haile State Tournament in Murfreesboro, only to fall later in the second game. On Jan. 18, the girls faced off with Lewisburg Middle School in a battle that looked bleak for the Lady Saints in the first half. In the first period, DeKalb only scored four points, including a two-point basket by Julia Curtis.
