The Lady Saints did something this season they had only done two other times in their history ... they won a playoff game.  After the dust settled and the Lady Saints season was over, they finished with the fourth seed and a 7-3 conference record.

They drew a tough Cumberland County team for Round One.  Hannah Tobitt scored early on Monday, September 25, to give the Lady Saints an early lead of 1-0.  Cumberland answered right back and tied it up 1-1.  Both teams found themselves in a stalemate as both teams had chances, but failed to capitalize.  The score would remain 1-1 at the end of regulation.

Two 10 -minute periods were then added, but the score remained scoreless.  On to PKs, both teams went as their season was on the line.  With eighth grader Willow Walker in goal, the Lady Saints had the edge.  Azul Rueda and Layla Ahedo both score for the Lady Saints and that is all that DMS needed as Willow Walker only gave up 1.  The Lady Saints won the game and PK shootout 2-1.  Cumberland was eliminated and the Lady Saints move on to the semi-finals.

From then on it didn't go the Lady Saints way.  On short rest, the Lady Saints had to travel to Macon County on September 27 where they lost in the semis 3-0.

During the consolation game on Friday, September 29, the Lady Saints faced defending champ Algood.  Algood won this one 4-0 and the Lady Saints finish fourth out of 11 teams for the season.
