After taking a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday, the DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints were back on the court, playing a couple of games in front of the hometown crowd.

On Monday, November 27, DMS hosted Avery Trace in a game where the Lady Saints would dominate. The girls scored six points in the first period, with Jordyn Agee sinking a two-pointer and a free throw, Maggie Hendrixson a two-point basket, and Brileigh Bullard a free throw. Avery Trace was held to just two-points.

The Lady Saints added nine points in the second period, with Agee and Hendrixson each with a three-pointer, Bullard and two-pointer, and Sophie Adcock a free throw. Avery Trace had four points, giving DeKalb the 15-6 lead at halftime.

Agee had a two and three-point shot for the Lady Saints in the third, while Hendrixson had a pair of two-pointers, and Adcock one two-pointer. Avery Trace scored five, with DMS up 26-11.

Aubree Fuson, Regan Williams, and Emmaline Hendrix each had a two-point basket for the Lady Saints in the fourth, while Avery Trace was held to just two points. DMS would claim the 32-13 victory.

It would be a tougher game the following Thursday. The Lady Saints would fall behind early against Algood and struggle to catch up.

The Lady Saints scored four points in the first period, with a two-point basket by Hendrixson and a pair of free throws by Agee. Algood jumped out with 12 points.

DMS added just six to the board in the second period, with a three-pointer and a free throw by Agee and a two-pointer by Hendrixson. Algood padded their lead with 10 points, up 22-10 at the half.

Agee would sink a pair of three-point baskets for the Lady Saints in the third, while Sophie Adcock had a couple of two-pointers. Hendrixson also had a free throw point. Algood pushed on with 10 more points and the 32-21 lead.

It was all Agee for the Lady Saints in the fourth. She scored a pair of two-point baskets and a free throw. Algood was held to four but claimed the 36-26 win.
