The DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints faced Dibrell on Nov. 8 in Smithville, coming away with a 44-29 win.
Kennedy Agee led the Saints’ scorecard with 12 points in the contest, while Megan Cantrell put up 11. Kadee Ferrell and Leah Davis scored nine points each in the game, and Mallori Hart added three points.
Agee put three two-pointers and two three-point shots in, and Cantrell was good for three three-pointers and a two point basket. Ferrell and Davis hit four two point shots and a free throw. Hart rounded out the score with a three-point shot.
The saints outscored Dibrell 17-3 in the first period and 13-5 in the second putting DMS ahead 30-8 at the half. The Saints outpaced the competition 12-7 in the third, and Dibrell scored 14 points which were only answered by two DeKalb points in the fourth.
The Lady Saints will travel to Watertown to face the Purple Tigers at 6 p.m. on Nov. 17, and will visit Warren County to play at noon on Nov. 18. They will return home to face Gordonsville on Nov. 21 at 6 p.m.
