The DeKalb Middle School Lady Saints traveled to Cookeville to face the Prescott Lady Bulldogs on April 23, coming home with a 9-2 win.

Starting pitcher Kenzie France struck out two batters, took a base on balls, and batted a runner in, while relief pitcher Emme Colwell put in one strikeout from the mound, and got to first twice on errors, as well as blasting a triple and batting a run in.

Maddison Parsley slapped a single and flew out for an RBI, and Joni Robinson cracked the bat for a triple and an RBI, and took first on balls three times. Megan Walker walked to first once, Abbi Taylor hit two singles for two RBIs, and walked once.

Braya Murphy scored after a base on balls, and Lydia Brown singled and batted two runners in. Leslie Hembree rounded out the DMS offensive game with a single and an RBI.

Meanwhile, DMS hosted Winfree Bryant Middle School on April 28, and lost 6-4.

Maddison Parsley, Emme Colwell and Braya Murphy all contributed singles to the Lady Saints offensive effort, while Abby Taylor doubled. Kenzie France smacked two doubles and recorded two RBIs.

Pitcher Madison Whitehead also put in an RBI, and struck out one batter.
