The DeKalb Lady Tigers finished out their regular season with a tie against Middle Tennessee Christian, and a loss against Lebanon Christian Home School.
On Oct. 8, the Lady Tigers played their final home game in a match against Middle Tennessee Christian. MTC would strike first, finding the goal eight minutes into the game.
DeKalb’s Hailey Summers would match the score one minute later with an assist from Angeles Soto.
Summers would come away with another goal 14 minutes into the game, with an assist from Jerica Braswell, giving DeKalb the lead 2-1. But MTC would answer six minutes later and again tie the score.
MTC would take the lead again with a goal 26 minutes into play, but Angeles Soto would get a goal with only eight minutes left in the first half, and again tie the score. The half would end 3-3.
While the first half saw scoring on both sides, the second half would end in a stalemate. Lady Tigers’ Goalie Jessica Billings had 15 saves on the night, and Chelsea Barrett would come away with three saves. The game would end in a tie, 3-3.
On Oct. 10, the Lady Tigers traveled to Lebanon where they ended their season with a loss against Lebanon Christian Home School.
Haleigh Bass would score DeKalb’s only goal of the night with an assist from Jessica Billings. Goalie Billings would have five saves in the game, with Chelsea Barrett getting two saves. LCHS would get the win, 4-1.
