Lady Tigers end season with two wins

The Lady Tigers honored four seniors before the game against Watertown. The DCHS Lady Tiger soccer team celebrated senior night by taking Watertown down 6-1 on Oct. 6.

 

DeKalb scored six goals on four assists, with Haleigh Bass putting one in in both the first and second minutes of the match. Bass scored again in the ninth minute, and Morgan Odom put goals in the net in the 25st and 28th minutes of play. Taylor Spare capped the Lady Tiger scorecard with a goal in the 21st minute. Spare added an assist, as did Odom, Sophie Hackett and Faith Hackett.

 

 Meghan Brandt recorded five saves at the goalkeeper’s position, and Chloe Braswell saved one as goalie.

 

The Lady Tigers also got a 2-1 win over Cumberland County on Oct. 4.

 

Brandt put seven saves on the books, Haleigh Bass scored a goal in the 53rd minute of the game, and Sarette Aranda scored in the 54th. Arrlanna Littlefield put Cumberland’s lone goal in in the 74th minute.

 

The Lady Tigers finish the regular season 7-6-2, and began the first round of district tournaments Monday evening. Look for the story in next week’s Review.
