The Lady Tigers are still looking for their first win of September, their losing streak going to four games as they lost a close one against Livingston Academy 1-0.

The Lady Tigers went 1-4 on their lengthy home stretch which began with a 2-1 win over White County. However, since that win on Aug. 30, the DeKalb County squad has been unable to get another win as they fell 2-1 in a nail-biter to Smith County and then 4 to 2 against Stone Memorial in a district match up. They then lost in a high scoring affair last Tuesday to Macon County, 6-4.

The Lady Tigers are sitting at 3-7-1 overall and 1-2 in the district. They have just one more district game to go, that being the scheduled Sept. 25 game at Cumberland County. They will then finish off the regular season with a trip to Cookeville on Thursday and to Warren County on Tuesday. They end their regular season here against Bledsoe County on Oct. 4.

As for the upcoming playoffs, DeKalb sits in fourth place in the district trailing Livingston Academy and Stone Memorial, both who are at 3-1 in the district and hold wins over the Lady Tigers. Cumberland County is at 2-0 with two games to go. The Lady Tigers are a game up on Upperman who is 0-4 in district and has already lost to DeKalb County meaning the Lady Tigers are likely stuck in fourth. A fourth place finish means DeKalb will likely host Upperman in a play-in game with the winner going on to play the first seed in the tournament.
