Hanah Panter scored twelve points against the Lady Dragons

 

The DCHS Lady Tigers defeated York Institute 45-40 in Jamestown Tuesday night.

 

York led DeKalb 10-9 at the end of the first period, but battled back to a 19-18 at the end of the first half. The Lady Tigers held onto a 31-30 lead at the beginning of the fourth period, and increased the advantage to 45-40 by the final buzzer.

 

Hannah Panter led the Lady Tiger offense with 12 points, hitting three three-point shots. Lydia Brown and Macy Hedge scored 10 points each in the contest, while Madison Parsley added seven. Mya Ruch scored three points, Sophie Cripps put in two, and Emme Colwell scored one point.

 

Meanwhile, The Tiger basketball squad lost 65-49 to York Institute in Jamestown Tuesday night.

 

The Tigers scored 11 points in the first, while the Dragons put 13 in. York increased their lead to 28 to 18 by halftime, to 44-32 by the end of the third period, and to 65-49 by the end of the game.

 

Tanner Poss scored 19 points for the Tigers, while Marshal Evins recorded 14. Gentry Harpole and Trey Jones put up six points each, and Austin Johnson and Bradley Miller added two points each.

 

Cannon County will visit Smithville Friday night (Dec. 9). Tipoff for the Lady tigers will be at 6 p.m.
