The Tigerettes got their first win of the season against Central Magnet but things weren’t as good the following night when DeKalb headed over to Livingston as their hosts dropped them 10-4. The Tigerettes were unable to recover from the first inning as Livingston put up four runs and added another in the second to maintain a 5-2 lead going into the third. While DeKalb was able to put up a single run in the third it was not enough to reel in Livingston as they put up four in the fourth and three in the third to cement the victory. They outhit the Tigerettes 14 to 11 on the way to victory.
Braya Muprhy and Kennedy Polk led the Tigerettes in hitting, going two-for-four while Joni Robinson went two-for-five. Polk led DeKalb with three runs batted in.
The Tigerettes used a trio of pitchers in the game with Emme Cowell going one inning, , striking out one and giving up one earned run. Madison Whitehead went 1.1 innings, fanning one and giving up no runs. Kenzie France went 3.2 innings where she fanned four and gave up 11 hits and four earned runs.
