The Junior and Senior Slow-Pitch Softball Leagues at Bill Page Ballpark recently held an awards ceremony which honored teams and fans alike. The event saw teams awarded for their overall record, as well as some people honored for their behind-the-scene work at the ball field.
In Junior Slow-Pitch Softball, Napa Auto Parts/Mayor’s Kids won first place in their league, followed by JC Motorsports in second place. Vaughn Nursery took the third-place honors.
In Senior Slow-Pitch, McCormick’s Industrial took the first-place trophy, with The Webb House coming in second place. Liberty State Bank came in third place, followed by D&S Specialties in fourth and Hutchins’ Auto Sales in fifth.
Ellie Cripps was given the Jackie Daniels award while Kayla Stanley was given the Danny Judkins Award.
Tyler Ludwig and Troy Bain were each honored at the ceremony for their work on field preparations, while the JC Motorsports team was honored with the Bill Page award.
Charlie and Carlene Butt were recognized for Best Concession Stand, and Charles Parsley was recognized as the Most Dedicated Fan.
