In a league that is designed for the players to have a lot of fun, the fans watching the game have a great time, too. Playing in the Co-Ed League, at Bill Page Ball Field, was Webb House playing the home team, Los Lobos, in the Senior Doll division.
Webb House scored two runs in the first inning, led by Tyler Monette with an RBI triple. The Los Lobos team plated one run when Dylan Roller drove in Devin Thomas, in the bottom half of the inning.
In the top of the second inning, Webb House came out swinging, scoring five runs. Josie Culwell had two RBI's, leading the way for her visiting team. In the bottom half, Los Lobos kept pace, scoring three runs before the third out was made. Los Lobos trailed with a score of 5-4.
Robert Davidson's RBI triple and run scored, led Webb House in the top of the third inning. Sending 12 batters to the plate, Los Lobos scored eight runs, while scattering hits everywhere. The score was 12-9, in favor of Los Lobos at the end of the third inning.
Webb House clawed their way back, scoring a total of eight runs in their last four at-bats. Taking the lead by a score of 17-13, entering the bottom of the seventh inning. Webb House seemed to be in control of the game.
However, you can never count out the team of Los Lobos. When the team needed someone to step up, everyone that came to the plate hit the softball. Dylan Roller's home run tied the game at 17 a piece.
Randy Hansard came to the plate and got a single, hitting the ball past the shortstop. With the game on the line, Keeli Bullard stepped into the batter's box and drove the softball down the line, past the right fielder, driving in Hansard for the winning run. Los Lobos took home the victory by a score of 18-17.
