DeKalb Tire pitcher Christian Pruit fires in a strike during Tuesdays match-up.

Tuesday the Little League and the Minor League were in action. In the Minor League game, it was DeKalb Tire versus the Liberty Machines.
The Machines came away with the win over DeKalb Tire 4-3.
DeKalb Tire was the first to score in the game when in the second inning they  put up three runs against the Machines’ defense.
In the bottom of the second, the Machines retaliated with two runs of their own cutting the lead down to just one.
In the third inning, the Machines held DeKalb Tire scoreless, and tied the game when they scored their only run of the third.
Now, tied up at three runs each, it was anyone’s game. The game would come down to the fifth and the final inning when the Machines were successful in holding off DeKalb Tire, and managed to bring in a run then the game was called as time had expired.
In Minor League play, Webb’s Pharmacy defeated DeKalb Depot 6-5. Webb’s jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first scoring two runs.
Depot cut the lead in half in the top of the second, scoring one run. Both teams were held zeros through the third and fourth innings.
Depot took their first lead of the game in the top of the fifth when they scored two runs. The lead was short lived as Webb’s struck back with three runs, taking back the lead.
Down two runs going into the sixth inning, Depot mustered up enough offense to tie the game, scoring two runs in the inning.
The two runs wouldn’t be enough for Depot as Webb’s crushed their hopes when they scored a run with two outs in the bottom of the sixth and the game was ended due to time constraints.
