The DeKalb High School Cross Country team has sprinted out to a good start and will now play host to a major meet in Smithville this week.

The meet will be held Saturday, Sept 21 and will feature high school and middle school teams from across the mid-state. The community is urged to turn out and cheer on the Tigers and Saints. Admission is free.

8 a.m. Middle School Girls

8:30 a.m. Middle School Boys

9:15 Middle School Awards

10 a.m. High School Girls

10:45 a.m. High School Boys

11:30 a.m. High School Awards

Meanwhile, coming into the local meet, XC runners from DeKalb High recently competed in the Voyles Classic. It was the biggest meet of the year and had over 300 runners in the girls race and over 400 in the boys race. Each and every runner on the DCHS team improved their times by huge margins.
