









Malia Stanley has been named the 2019 DeKalb County High School Homecoming Queen. Her court consists of Megan Walker, Katherine Malone, Sadie West, Sheridan O’Conner and Ellisyn Cripps. The royalty will be part of Friday’s Homecoming Parade and Friday night’s activities on the field at VanHoosier Stadium.
Malia Nichole Stanley is a senior and the 17 year-old daughter of Larry and Phyllis Stanley. She is a member of the FBLA and Beta Club, and has been a cheerleader for the football and basketball teams for two years. She received Most Talented Superlative, name All American Cheerleader for three years, received the ACT 21+ and Athlete of the Week in 2018.
Megan Riley Washer is a senior and the 17 year-old daughter of Jason and Renee Walker. She is a member of FBLA, Beta, Science Club, Literature Club and the Climate Crew. She has been a member of the basketball and softball teams all four years of high school. She was named to the All-Freshman Team in softball, the All District Team and All-Tournament Team her sophomore and junior years, and received Most Athletic superlative. She is actively involved with the Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church youth group.
Katherine Anne Malone is also a senior and is the 17 year-old daughter of Kevin Malone and the late Dana Malone. She is a member of the FBLA, Literature Club, Climate Crew, HOSA, Science Club and Senior Beta. She has been a football cheerleader for four years. She is also involved with the First Baptist Youth Group.
Ellisyn Kelsey Cripps is the 16 year-old daughter of Troy and Jamie Cripps. She is a junior at DCHS. She is a member of Beta, Student Government, Science Club, Literature Club and the Climate Crew. She has held the vice president and secretary positions in the Beta Club. And, served as Class Treasurer each year of high school. She attends First Baptist Church of Smithville where she is in the youth group, plays church league softball and helps with the non-profit group Patch Work.
Sadie Rian West is the sophomore attendant. She is the 15 year-old daughter of Dana and Greg West. She is a member of FBLA, Beta, HOSA and the Climate Crew. She has been a cheerleader for two years and a member of the All Star Competition Cheer Team at Infinity Athletics. Sadie was named All American Cheerleader for two year, participatd in the Walt Disney World Thanksgiving Day Parade and was voted Most Spirited Cheerleader two years in a row. She is an active member of Charles Creek The Baptist Church, a coach at Infinity Athletics and has completed 90 hours of community service for the Beat Club.
The freshman attendant is Sheridan Marie O’Connor. She is the 14 year-old daughter of Ally Atnip and Chris O’Connor. She is a member of FBLA, Literature Club and Climate Crew. She is a football manger, named as one of the top 10 of her eighth-grade class and finished fourth-place at the Jr Beta Nationals. She attend the People’s Missionary Baptist Church.
