The Middle Tennessee Softball Coaches Association voted former standouts Alex Meadows and Tiffini Hendrixson to the  1A All Middle Tennessee Team. Meadows and Hendrixson are recent graduates of DeKalb County High School.
Asked what she thought of being voted to the All Middle Tennessee team she said, “It’s  a really big honor. It’s a really big deal. To be nominated for something that is this big. It’s very special to me and its pretty amazing. It’s also nice to represent my school.” Meadows attributed her sport success to all of her coaches as well as her mother and father for pushing her to do her nest in everything she did.
Also voted to the MTSCA All Academic Team were both Meadows and Hendrixson, along with teammates Annieka Norton and Brooke Hutchings.
Meadows did not disappoint, as she blasted out a two-run homerun in the first game. She also went on to earn All-Star honors and be named to the Tenneessee All-Star team to face Kentucky at Western Kentucky Univeristy on June, 28.
Meadows is the only player from DeKalb County to ever receive the honor of competing for the Tennessee All-Star team.
