Rain on Monday made for some interesting racing on Tuesday as the DeKalb County Fair’s go-cart races got underway. The muddy track made being a spectator in some locations around the track a sticky situation, but the event entertained the crowd and made for an exciting evening.
In the Yard Carts seven to nine year-old class, Brayden Ferrell came in first place, with Jerrod Smith coming in second, Mason Finn third, and Logan O’Conner fourth.
Koby Howard took first place in the Yard Carts 10-12 year old class. Lincoln Orrand took second place, while Kalum Howard came in third.
For the Yard Carts 16-and-up class, Michael Howard came in first place, with William Boyd taking second. Travis Owen won third place and Lynnette Boyd came in fourth.
In the Flat Head Briggs class, Derek Carter took first place, followed by Brent Vickers in second.
Charles Adams came in first place in the Clone 360 class, with Chase Chaffin getting second and Joe Duffle in third.
In the Jr. Restricted class, Logan O’Conner took first place, with Brent Vickers coming in second.
Brent Vickers came in first place in the Animal Lite class, followed by Jim Finn in second.
In the Clone 365 class, Desmond Lewis won first place.
