Pioneers go on Tiger hunt

The DeKalb County Tiger basketball team took a 60-50 loss hosting the Warren County Pioneers at DCHS Thursday night.

 

The Tigers jumped out to a 16-5 lead in the first period of the contest, but The Pioneers caught back up by halftime, tying the score 23-23 by the end of the second. Warren enjoyed an 11 point lead by the end of the third period, and the tigers fell behind 43-32. Warren held a 60-50 lead when time ran out.

 

Chandler Vincent led the Tiger scorecard with 12 points. Tanner Poss scored nine, and Gentry Harpole and Marshal Evins put eight points each up. Trey Jones put in six for DeKalb, Colter Norris scored four, and Austin Johnson added three points.

 

The Tigers, now at 3-9 on the season will resume play on Jan. 5, when Trousdale County will visit the DCHS gym. Tip off for the Lady Tigers is at 6 p.m.
