Rain doesnt damper Minor League

The DeKalb Minor League dodged the rain last week to get several games in the books.
On June 10, Robert’s Ice took on Vicker’s Grave Service in what would be a big win for Vickers.
Robert’s Ice came in with two runs in the first inning, with Konner Young and Saxson Bain each getting runs, and another in the second with Elijah Ramos touching home plate.
Vicker’s took the lead in the first and kept rolling. J.J. Pack, Logan O’Conner, and Isaac Newport each scored in the first, while Holden Trapp, and Evan Sprague each had a run in the second. Holden Trapp and Jeremy Boren crossed home in the third, and Boren and Gage Trapp topped off the score in the fourth. Vicker’s sealed the win, 9-3.
That same day, DeKalb Community Bank got a high-scoring win over Los Lobos.
Brett Walker and Chandler Johnson each had a run for Los Lobos in the second inning, while Silas Cross and David Judkins each scored in the third. Jathan Willoughby and Matt Rowe added to the score in the fourth.
For DCB, Grayson Hendrix and Conner Crabtree started off the scoring in the first inning, while Andrew Vickers, Dylan Trapp, Hendrix, Landon Cripps, Matt Vickers, Matt Keaton, and Peyton Hallium each came in with runs in the second. Drew Vickers, Hendrix, Crabtree, Wesley Hallium, Matt Vickers, Keaton, and Peyton Hallium each had a run in the third inning, while Trapp, Hendrix, Matt Vickers, and Keaton finished off the scoring in the fourth. DCB came away with the big victory, 20-6.
On June 13, Los Lobos went up against Vicker’s Grave Service in a close game.
Vicker’s got on the board first with Avery South, Logan O’Conner, Evan Sprague, Holden Trapp, and Isaac Newport each getting a run in the fourth inning.
Going into the fifth inning, Vicker’s was looking for a shutout, but Los Lobos finally came to life. Jathan Willoughby, Nate Crook, and Caden Kyle each touched home, but it would not be enough. Vicker’s held on for the win, 5-3.
That same day, DeKalb Community Bank and Liberty State Bank faced off in yet another battle of the banks.
Conner Crabtree and Wesley Hallium each came in with a run in the fourth inning for DCB.
For LSB, Levi Driver, Brandon Antoniak, Isaac Knowles, and Kobbe Clary each touched home base in the first inning, while Driver, Antoniak, and Colten Kirby scored in the second. Driver added an insurance run in the fourth, and LSB took the win, 8-2.
On June 14, DCB was back in action, this time taking on Robert’s Ice.
For DCB, Andrew Vickers, Dylan Trapp, Wesley Hallium, Landon Cripps, Matt Vickers, Matt Keaton, and Peyton Hallium each scored in the first inning, while Grayson Hendrix came in with a run of his own in the second inning. Vickers, Trapp, Hendrix, Crabtree, Hallium, Vickers, and Hallium each scored again in the third.
Kolter Kilgore, Konner Young, Axel Aldino, Saxson Bain, Hunter Cantrell, Brayden Carter, and Riley Palmer each had a run in the first inning for Robert’s Ice, while Elijah Ramos came in during the second. Bain, Matt Rowe, and Cantrell finished off the score in the fourth, but it short. DCB held on for the 15-12 win.
Los Lobos battled Liberty State Bank that day in a game that was decided in the second inning.
Nate Crook, Ty Panker, David Judkins and Silas Cross gave Los Lobos the lead in the first inning.
For LSB, Levi Driver, Isaac Knowles, Lucas Hall, Kobbe Clary, James Tramel, Colten Kirby, and Jase Bain gave them the lead in the second inning. Knowles added to the score in the fourth, giving LSB the 8-4 victory.
