Thursday night Minor League was in action after a rain-out Tuesday night.
In the first game of the night, it was the Razors versus the Optimus X-terminators.
The Razors took home a 10-3 victory.
In the top of the first, the Razors jumped out to an early 7-0 lead. Connor Rice would begin the string of runs with a sac fly to shallow right field. Dallas Cook gave the Razors a huge boost with a three-run, inside-the-park home run, extending the Razors’ lead 4-0.
Jordan Crook was the next batter and was walked. Thanks to a couple of wild pitches Crook was able to round the bases and land at third.
Connor Vaughn was also walked. On the throw-back to the pitcher he stole second base. Brady Hale was up to bat, but a wild pitch brought in both Crook and Vaughn to score, giving them seven runs and forcing the teams to switch sides.
Cody Antoniak led off for the Optimus team but was struck out. Nixon Murphy was walked and advanced to second base on a wild pitch to the next batter. The batter Jayden Young struck out.
Caven Ponder would blast a ball deep to center field good for an RBI triple. Ponder would then attempt to steal home but was thrown out.
In the second inning, Hale would ground out to second. Skyler Sparks nailed out a standing triple. Triston Stanley was walked. On the throw-back, the catcher had an errant throw to third base which allowed Sparks to score and advance Stanley to second.
Kolbie Snipes and Hunter Brannon would both strike out to end the inning.
Garrett Driver led off with a walk. While the next batter, Jayden Young, was up, there was wild pitch that allowed Driver to move on to second. After another wild pitch Driver moved to third.
Jordan was eventually walked. Brayden Antoniak’s first pitch got away from the pitcher and allowed a run to score and another runner was called out stealing home. Antoniak was then walked, giving the Razors an 8-2 lead.
During Darren Waggoner’s at bat, Antoniak stole second base. On the next pitch Waggoner was hit by the pitch and awarded the free base. Nick Drennan was walked and C. Antoniak was struck out. Before the next batter could take the plate, Waggoner was tagged out while trying to steal third base and ended the inning.
In the top of third, Jordan Cook drove in another run with a single to left field, making it a 9-2 ball game. The Optimus team would bring in two different new pitchers in the inning and hold off the Razors for the moment.
Murphy led off with a single on an error. Jayden Young would single and bring Murphy around to score, giving them their third run of the night.
Though the Optimus team would grab a few more hits, they would not score again and after the third out of the inning the game was called and the Razors won with a 10-3 victory.

The next game set to take place was the team of DTC versus Williams Masonry. The team of Williams got a shut-out victory as they defeated their opponents 8-0.
In the top of the first, DTC was scoreless and did not manage a single hit but did make it to base via a walk.
In the bottom of the first, the field was riddled with errors which allowed the Williams’ team to score when Preston Ray knocked out an RBI single and advanced a runner to third. As the runner ran for third base, Ray took second, putting runners in scoring position. Nick Anderson was struck out. Jacob Johnson brought in a run with his single to right field. With the bases loaded, Hunter Brannon was up to hit, but was walked which forced a run in to score. Levi Cantrell and Chantz Bowling were the next two batters up and were walked, forcing force two runs to make it a 6-0 ball game. Daniel Puckett was up to bat when a wild pitch was thrown and Levi Cantrell scored the seventh run of the inning and the two teams were forced to switch sides.
The top of the second was a quick one, as pitcher Levi Cantrell struck out three straight batters to end the inning.
In the bottom of the second, Puckett dropped in a single, but made it to second base due to an error. Ray would bring Puckett in to score with a single down the third-base line. Anderson, Johnson and Blake would all strike out.
In the top of the third, it was the defense that would prove to be the back bone of the team as they turned a double play during the inning. The first batter struck out. The next was walked. Memphis Shovlue was up and hit a line drive straight into the first baseman’s glove, who quickly stepped on first base for the double play, and ended the inning.
In the bottom of the third, Branon led off with a walk. Each of the next two batters would single into fielder’s choice plays with each out at second. Bowling ended the inning by striking out.
Burgess and Miller started the top of the fourth by striking out. Creston Bain reached first on an error. With a runner on first, Johnson failed to advance him into scoring position and was struck out.
Puckett started the bottom of the fourth by hitting a line drive to center field, and would then advance to second on a wild pitch. Ray would drop down a single into the infield. There was an error on the throw to third and Puckett came in to score and Ray made his way around to third where he was called out.
Johnson was next up to bat and was walked. Due to numerous errors on the play, Johnson made his way around the bases, all the way to home plate and scored.
The game was called, giving them a 9-0 win.
