The DeKalb County High School Rodeo Team competed in the prestigious Memphis Challenge last weekend, a multi-state rodeo with around 300 contestants from Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas. The event is known throughout the country as being one of the most competitive rodeos east of the Mississippi River.The tough boys and girls of the DCHS Rodeo team compete in a variety of competitions, including bull riding, roping, barrell racing, and steer wrestling. In the first round, Cody Hattaway won the steer wrestling, while Shara Adcock got sixth in the team roping competition.
