The DeKalb Middle School Saints football team celebrated eighth-grade night Thursday evening before their game against Smith County.
Honored were saints eighth-grade managers Paxton Dawson, who was escorted by her mother, Cindy Dawson; Mallori Hart, escorted by parents Mark and Christy Hart; and Kerri Winchester, escorted by parents Jason and Jennifer Winchester.
Eighth-grade cheerleaders Presley Agee, escorted by her parents, Michael and Kelly Agee; Ellie Cripps, escorted by parents Troy and Jamie Cripps; Leah Davis, escorted by parents Kerry and Glenda Davis; Emma Jennings, escorted by parents Chad and Shelly Jennings; Allie Lasser, escorted by parents Brian and Christy Lasser; and Megan Cantrell, escorted by parents Todd and Jenny Cantrell were recognized.
A total of 17 Saints football players were honored in their last year at DMS, including:
