The DeKalb Middle School Saints soccer team wrapped up their regular season last week, hosting the Algood Redskins during Eighth Grade Night and Kleparek Field. Eighth grade players and managers were recognized during a ceremony before the game.

The Saints found themselves in an early hole, 3-0 in the first 20 minutes. The Saints settled in and scored a goal late in the first half making the halftime score 3-1.

The Saints came out hot in the second half and score another to make it 3-2 with 20 mins still to go. Unfortunately the home team couldn't find the back of the net again. Defense held strong and Saints lose 3-2. Both goals come from Jakota Estes

The Saints finished second place in the Upper Cumberland Middle School Soccer Conference with a record of 6-1-1, with a total of 9 teams.
