The Saints completed a sweep of Rickman this past week, going on the road for a 50-27 victory as they continue their strong season.
The Story was the same as their first meeting in Smithville last month for Rickman as Isaac Story proved to be their only source of offense, scoring 20 of his team’s 27 points. Also, coming a Close second was the Saints’ Connor Close who led his squad with 17 points on the night, 12 of those coming in the defining third quarter when the Saints crushed their hosts 22-8.
Early it was the Elishah Ramos show as he got out of the gate with six in the first period on the way to a 11-point night. The Saints took an 11-4 advantage into the second where both offenses exchanged offensive blows. The second belonged to Robert Wheeler who had six of his 11 as the Saints again outscored their hosts, 12-11. The third and Close’s offensive explosion sealed the deal for the Saints who coasted through the fourth for the victory.
Also contributing in scoring was Ean Jones, Zackary Birmingham and Mason Winter, all with three and Holden Trapp with two.
