The DeKalb Middle School Saints soccer team traveled to Thurman Francis in Smyrna on Tuesday, April 5, and found themselves facing a very talented team.  The home team went up 1-0 in the first half as the Saints tried to shake off some rust from Spring Break.  The Saints got their offense rolling, but failed to score. The final tally was in favor of the home team 1-0.  The Saints’ Junior Varsity team claimed a 2-0 win.

On Thursday, April 7, the DeKalb Middle School Saints soccer team celebrated 10 eighth graders during Eighth Grade Night as they hosted visiting White County.  Those honored at the ceremony were William Blair, Connor Hopkins, Juan Ortega, Giovani Palomo, manager Rowan Miller, Aidan Turner, Ethan Spears, Jaxon Kleparek, Jack Gassaway, and manager Tatum Young.

In the game, the Saints came out rolling and won this one in mercy rule fashion 10-1.  JV also won 4-0. Juan Ortega had three goals, William Blair had two, and Connor Hopkins, Giovani Palomo, Ethan Spears, Jaxon Kleparek, and Jack Gassaway each had one goal.
