The DeKalb Senior League season play is underway with games being played every Tuesday evening at Joe L. Evins Ballpark in Smithville.
On June 18, the DeKalb Green team faced the DeKalb Orange team in a high-scoring game.
For the Green team, Andrew Cornelius had a walk in the game with Ty Curtis getting a walk, a single, and a double. Noah Parsley had a single, a double and a triple, while Nick Parsley recorded a double. Laradon Wiggins was walked twice and had a double, and both Lane Poss and Adam Ferrell had a walk and a single.
For the Orange team, Dylan Stover, Jacob Washer, Zack Roberts, and Zack Stover each recorded walks in the game, while Jacob Washer was walked twice. Josh Henbree had a walk and a double, while Brady Hughes had a single. Derek Fish had a double in the game with Austin Johnson getting a walk and a single.
The Green team took the win, 14-10.
The Orange team played again that evening, this time battling the DeKalb Blue team.
For the Blue team, Christian Pruitt was walked three times, while Drake Staten, Caleb Stanley, Seth Whaley, and Nick Agee each had a walk and a single. Joe Driver was walked twice and got a single, and Conner Pruitt was walked once.
For the Orange team, Brady Hughes, Derek Fish, Zack Stover, and Austin Johnson each had a walk in the game, while Josh Hembree was walked twice. Dylan Stover had two singles in the game while Lee Randolph had a walk and a double.
Blue won the game, 9-5.
