With a holiday, and some torrential rain last week, the DeKalb Major League was not on the field, but the DeKalb Minor League managed to squeeze in some games, with some high-scoring blowouts.
On May 27, DeKalb Community Bank faced off with Robert’s Ice and came away with a big win.
DCB took the lead in the second inning with a run by Matthew Vickers, and from there they never looked back. Vickers scored again in the third, along with Drew Vickers, Dylan Trapp, Grayson Hendrix, Wesley Hallium, Matthew Keaton, and Peyton Hallium. Matthew Vickers and Wesley Hallium topped off the score in the fourth with each touching home base.
DCB would come away with the shutout, 10-0.
That same day, Liberty State Bank took on Los Lobos in another lopsided game.
Each team came away with four runs in the first inning. Levi Driver, Jordan Young, Brandon Antoniak, and Kobbe Clary scored for LSB, while Jathan Willoughby, Nathaniel Crook, Ty Panker, and Caden Kyle each scored for Los Lobos.
