The Saints soccer team traveled to Warren County to face the undefeated Pioneers in a scrimmage on April 21. DMS held their powerful opponents to only one goal in the first half of the match, but Warren put in two more goals in the second half to make the final score 3-0.

Although the game will go down as a defeat, the Saints got a chance to improve their play, as they faced a very talented and well-coached team. While the DMS team failed to score, goalie Wesley Carpenter helped keep the damage to a minimum with eight saves.

DMS faced conference rival Prescott Middle in another road game on April 23. The first half ended scoreless, as both teams were evenly matched from top to bottom.

In the second half, DMS jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick from Micheal Elswick. Soon afterward, Juwain Smith crossed a ball in the middle to get the assist, and Luke Bryant put it in the back of the net, bringing the score to 2-0 Saints.

Prescott refused to give up, put in a goal of their own to bring the score to 2-1. The Saints defense held off the bulldogs, however, winning the contest 2-1.

Juwain Smith recorded two saves as goalie for DMS, while Wesley Carpenter put five saves on the books.
