A benefit soccer tournament has been set to benefit eighth grader Cameron Miller who was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
The DeKalb Middle School Saint is presently undergoing chemotherapy at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville. He is the son of Billy and Kate Miller.
The event, called the Cameron Miller Invitational, will be held June 8 at the Northside Recreational League fields with all proceeds going to the Miller family.
The teams will be made up of 12-15 players with a cost of $450 per team or $30 per participant. Co-ed and ages 12 to adult are welcome and each player will receive a tournament t-shirt. All teams will be assured of at least two games consisting of 30-minute halves.
Participants can sign up at the Good Health Clinic. Donations are also being accepted at First Bank under the Cameron Miller Benefit Fund. Call Justin Nokes at 615-522-8789 or April Coronado at 615-684-2552 if you have questions.
