Some blowouts played in 9U Machine Pitch

The 9U Machine Pitch League played some one-sided games last week, with some heavy hitting from several teams. 
On June 13, Watertown Drug took on the DTC Diamonds in what would turn out to be a shutout for DTC. 
Watertown Drug’s Natlie Craddock and Kierah Maklary each got one hit in the game, while Daejah Maklary and Mikayla Nix each got two. 
For the Diamonds, Alexis Atnip, Katie Colwell, Madison Martin, Jackyne Mclaughlin, and Kennedy Polk each got one hit, while Aniston Farler, Aly Griffith, Cadee Griffith, Reanna O'Connell, Natalie Snipes, and Kenlee Taylor eah got two. Griffith, Mclaughlin, O'Connell, Polk, and Taylor each got a double in the game, while Farler had two doubles.  Taylor had a triple. 
DTC took the victory, 9-0. 
The Pates Ford Boat Locker Lakers faced Headlines’ Razors in a big-hitting game for the Lakers. 
Alexis Cudney, McKenzie Pack, and Jazmine Wagner each had a hit for the Lakers, with Dasia Gurley, Emma Johnson, Maeloree Kirby, Keegon Martin, Briahna Murphy, and Kessie Robinson each getting two. Kirby, Martin, Pack, and Robinson each had a double during play, with Johnson getting two doubles.  Gurley recorded a triple.         
For the Razors, Xharia Lyons, Gracie Randolff, Mackensie Saylors, and Mackenzie Sprague each had one hit, while Courtney London and Keirstine Robinson each got two.  Robinson had a double. 
The Lakers won big, 11-1. 
On June 17, the Lakers showed their muscle again in a game against the First Bank. 
For the Lakers, Jaycee Barrett, Maeloree Kirby, Macey Lassiter, Keegon Martin, and Briahna Murphy each had one hit, while Alexis Cudney, Dasia Gurley, Emma Johnson, Kessie Robinson, Jazmine Wagner, and Layla Walker each had two.  Johnson, Lassiter, Martin, Robinson, and Walker took doubles in the game, with Robinson also taking a home run.     
First Bank’s Madison Baskin, Hennessy Beaty and Abby Waller each had one hit for the team, while Blake Griffin, Makenzie Malone, and Hanah Walls each had two.  Waller recorded a double in the game. 
The Lakers took the shutout, 12-0. 
Another team showing muscle that evening was the DTC Diamonds, who put up a lot of points in a game against the Lakers. 
For the Diamonds, Shayla Kirby, Madison Martin, and Reanna O'Connell each had two hits, while Alexis Atnip, Jackyne Mclaughlin, Kennedy Polk, and Morgan Walker each had three.  Aniston Farler, Cadee Griffith, Natalie Snipes, and Kenlee Taylor each had four hits, and Katie Colwell and Aly Griffith each had five. Farler, Griffith, Martin, Mclaughlin, and Taylor each had a double, while Polk, Griffith, and Walker had two doubles.  Colwell recorded three doubles, and joined Farler, Walker who each had a triple.  Colwell and Griffith also had home runs. 
Emma Johnson, Maeloree Kirby, McKenzie Pack, and Jazmine Wagner each had a hit for the Lakers, with Keegon Martin and Kessie Robinson each having two.  Alexis Cudney, Dasia Gurley, Briahna Murphy, and Layla Walker each had three hits, with Macey Lassiter getting four.  Cudney and Lassiter each had a double, while Gurley, Lassiter, and Robinson each had triples.  Murphy took a home run. 
The Diamonds shone bright with the 33-13 win.
