Sullivan signs with Belmont University

DCHS Senior Golf star Mallory Sullivan has signed to golf for Belmont University.Sullivan, the daughter of James and Tonya Sullivan, is the only female in DCHS history to qualify for the state golf tournament in all four years of her high-school career.She placed 11th in the state tournament as a freshman, second as a sophomore and tied for 14th as a junior.She finished this year’s tourney tied for fifth, and carded a 3-over 75 at 82-75—157, one stroke away from a medal. She had the second lowest score on the second day of the tournament.Sullivan, who started playing golf in the 6th grade after a shoulder injury forced a break in her softball career, said she was pleased with the prospect of golfing for Belmont. “It's a great school,” she said.
