Tiger teams lose four

Hanah Panter led the Lady Tigers with 11 points against White County, and 13 points against Livingston Academy.

 

The DCHS Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball squads were both defeated during a visit to White County on Monday night, and took losses at Livingston academy on Tuesday as well.

 

The Lady Tigers fell 73-35 in White County, and the Tigers took a 66-50 loss.

 

The Lady Tigers tied the Lady warriors 15-15 in the first period, but White County jumped ahead 31-21 before halftime. DeKalb trailed 57-27 by the end of the third, and went on to lose the game 73-35.

 

Hannah Panter scored 11 points in the contest, while Macy Hedge recorded nine points. Lydia Brown put six in for the Lady Tigers, and Sophie Cripps, Emme Colwell, Mya Ruch, and Joni Robinson each scored two. Abbi Taylor added one point to the DeKalb tally.

 

The Warriors led the tigers 16-7 at the end of the first period, and 29-15 at halftime. The tigers continued to trail White 48-35 after the third period of the game, and went on to lose 66-50.

 

Tanner Poss led the Tiger offense with 17 points. Gentry Harpole followed closely with 15, while Austin Johnson and Marshal Evins scored five points each. Trey Jones and Colter Norris rang in with three points each, and Bradley Miller added two.

 

In the games against the Livingston teams Tuesday, the Lady Tigers lost 69-35, and the Tigers fell in a 62-55 game.

 

The Lady Blue Wildcats had a 17-9 advantage at the end of the first period, and led 35-20 at halftime. The score stood at 49-30 after the third, and DeKalb went on to lose 69-35.

 

Hanah Panter led the Lady Tigers with 13 points, while Emme Colwell scored 10. Macy Hedge put four points in, and Maddison Parsley scored three. Sarah Anne Colwell and Lydia Brown added two points each, and Joni Robinson scored a point for the Lady Tigers.

 

The Tigers tied the Wildcats 14-14 in the first period, and led 30-24 by the half-time buzzer. DeKalb maintained a 46-42 lead at the beginning of the fourth, but a late-game rally by the Wildcats put Livingston ahead 62-55 at the end of the game.

 

The Tigers are now 3-8 on the season while the Lady Tigers are at 6-5.

 

The Warren County Pioneers will visit DeKalb tonight (Thursday). The Lady tigers will tip off at 6 p.m.
