The DCHS Tigerette softball team wrapped up the regular season on May 3 with a 14-0 win over the Upperman Lady Bees in Baxter, then traveled back Baxter to take a win from York Institute in the first round of the District 8-AA tournament. Winning pitcher Kelly Roberts made the most of her time on the mound, allowing the Lady Bees only five hits and shutting them down on the scoreboard. DeKalb scored 14 runs on 15 hits, opening up with five runs in the first inning against Upperman, then adding five more in the second.
