Tigerettes receive postseason awards

Awards were presented during the District 8AA Softball Tournament in Baxter last week with several Tigerettes players receiving honors.
Danielle Tyson, Annieka Norton, Chelsey Brannon, and Abbey Caldwell were named to the All-Tournament Team, joining Elizabeth Williams  of Smith County, and Amber Maynard, Crystal Bryant, Alex Marcus, and Kristen Hull of Upperman.  Hull was also named MVP. 
In the regular season, All District selections DeKalb’s Tyra Graham and Katie Hall made the All Freshmen Team with Dani Meadows named as Freshman Co-MVP along with Michelle Carr of Upperman.  They join Ally Parton and Kelsie Smith of Cannon County, Jamie Wilson and Meghan Whitson of Livingston, Amber Masters of Smith County, and Sydney Smith of Central. 
Tigerettes’ Danielle Tyson and Annieka Norton made the first team in the postseason awards, along with Mary Lynn Bush and Hailey Hendry of Smith County, Crystal Bryant and Klaudia Hull of Upperman, Kristen Hale of Cannon County, and Tiffany Waddell and Amber Maynord of Livingston. 
On the second team, DeKalb’s Lauren Colwell and Taylor Monette were named, along with Macy Williams and Bri Nichols of Cannon County, Elizabeth Wheeler of Upperman, Sue Ellen Cope of York, Hailey Wilmore and Ivy Williams of Smith County, and Morgan Higgins of Central. 
Upperman Coach Ben Herron was named Coach of the Year, while Crystal Bryant of Upperman was named Offensive Player of the year, and Kristen Hull was named Defensive Player of the Year.
