Tigerettes shut down Jackson County

THE TIGERETTES

The DeKalb County Tigerettes played Cannon County last Thursday, winning 15-0. After this game their record soared to 6-1 in the district.
On Friday they traveled to Jackson County for a double header.
During the first game Josie Culwell struck out three batters for a no-hit shut out.
In the first inning Culwell had a base hit, Jasmine Dimas doubled, and Alex Meadows and Brooke Hutchings both hit grounders to short stop, for a 0-0 score at the end of the inning.
During the second inning Ashley Barnes hit to center field to get on second base.
As Martha Webb stepped up to bat, Hannah Green tried to steal second, only  to be tagged out.
Webb sent a pop-up to center field, which was caught for an out.
Danielle Tyson stepped up to bat and was hit with the ball for a free trip to first.
Annieka Norton made an attempt to bunt, but was thrown out at first to wrap up the second inning.
In the third inning Alex Meadows lead the line up with a bunt, which took her to first base.
Hutchings attempted the same bunt and was thrown out at first, but drove Meadows to second.
When the catcher missed a ball while Culwell was hitting, Meadows stole third.
Culwell hit to left field, taking her to second base and sent Meadows home.
Dimas stepped in as Culwells courtesy runner, then stole third base as Taylor Monette was batting.
Monette attempted a bunt but was thrown out at first, giving Dimas a way to home plate. Tiffini Hendrixson stepped up to the plate to hit to short stop, and was safe on first.
Hannah Green hit to make an out causing Hendrixson to take second.
Webb stepped up with a hit to left field, scoring a triple driving Hendrixson home.
As Norton batted, the catcher missed the ball again, giving Webb a way home and taking the score to 5-0 at the end of the third inning.
To start off the fourth Norton hit to short stop, landing  safe on first base.
While Meadows was at bat Norton stole second. Meadows hit to center field, which took her to second and Norton home.
Hutchings stepped up to hit out at first, but took Norton to second.
Culwell hit a pop fly to second which was caught for an out.
Monette’s hit to center field took her to second, and sent Meadows home.
Hendrixson hit one and got to second but was over thrown at first base giving Hendrixson the opportunity to take second.
Green popped a fly ball to center field, which was caught for an out, bringing the final score in the fourth to 8-5.
Webb started the fifth inning off with a fly to short stop, which was caught for an out.
Tyson stepped up to hit to left field to be safe on first.
Norton bunted to second base, letting Tyson take third and leaving herself safe on first.
Meadows hit to short stop and was safe on first taking Tyson and Norton home.
Like a thief Meadows stole second, then third, then finally stealing home to let them know she meant business.
With no one on base, Hutchings hit a fly to left field that took her all way to third base.
Culwell stepped up, but was unable to hit and got a walk. Norton stepped in to be her courtesy runner.
Lauren Culwell hit it short for a single, taking Norton to third.
As Hendrixson attempted to hit, Norton stole home for another run.
Hendrixson hit a short one to the pitcher, getting out on first but bringing Culwell home for another run.
Taylor popped it up to the catcher to end the game, giving the Tigerettes a winning score of 14-0.
