Tigerettes split games with Livingston Academy

Pitcher Lauren Colwell struck out two during the DeKalb Tigerettes win last Thursday over the Livingston Academy Wildcats.

The DeKalb County Tigerettes shut out Livingston Academy last Thursday after suffering a defeat to the Lady Wildcats two days before. 
On Tuesday, April 16, the Tigerettes traveled to Livingston where they found themselves behind early on. The Lady Wildcats scored one run in the first inning and another in the third, but DeKalb pulled close, scoring one run in the fourth.  Livingston then sealed the game by scoring a third run in the fourth inning. 
The Tigerettes’ one run was made on two hits with six errors.  The Wildcats’ three runs were made on six hits and one error. 
Tigerettes’ pitcher, Lauren Colwell, struck out five batters.  Dani Meadows recorded a double while Colwell took a single. 
On Thursday the Tigerettes bounced back with a 10-0 win as the Wildcats traveled to Smithville. DeKalb scored one run in the first inning, two in the second, three in the fifth and four in the sixth. The 10-run score came on 16 hits and no errors, while the Wildcats took no runs on six hits and no errors. 
Winning pitcher, Colwell, struck out two, while losing pitcher, Carr, struck out three.  Hits included Danielle Tyson, Lindsey Taylor, and Loren Cripps each with one single; and Dani Meadows, Lauren Colwell, and Tyra Graham each with two singles.  Taylor Monette recorded one double and one single while Katie Hall made four singles.
