If homesteading was still legal, the DCHS Tigerettes would have owned the deed to Upperman’s side of the pitch Tuesday, as they camped out in Lady Bee territory, scoring nine goals in the shut-out win.DeKalb’s Sophie Hackett got things started early with a goal at the six-minute mark and again at the 9-minute mark, giving the Tigerettes a 2-0 lead. DeKalb didn’t slow down as Taylor Foutch scored two goals consecutively at 17 and 24.Hackett made it a hat trick before the break, beating the keeper at the 24-minute mark to give the Tigerettes a 5-0 lead going into the half.The Lady Bees couldn’t catch a break as Audrey Gillenwater scored just four minutes into the second, followed by an almost immediate score by Robin Pafford off an assist by Lydia Phillips just one-minute later.Jaylin Garcia put one in the net at the 55-mark, off a Chloe Braswell pass making it 8-0 and Sarette Aranda sewed it up with a goal at 63 from another Braswell assist.The Tigerettes travelled to Stone Memorial Tuesday night to play the Lady Panthers. Results were not available at press time.
