The Tigerette softball team took the district championship Wednesday evening in Baxter, squeaking by Livingston Academy in a pitcher’s battle that resulted in a 1-0 win for DeKalb, and saw Kayley Caplinger finish the tourney without allowing a run to be scored against the Tigerettes, striking out 28 opposing batters in the process. DeKalb scored one run on six hits, and committed no errors. Livingston booked four hits and committed no errors.
