Tigerettes take down Lady Bees

The Tigerettes traveled to Upperman Tuesday, and held an early 2-goal advantage throughout most of the contest defeating the Lady Bees 2-1.DeKalb’s Faith Judkins found the net at the 14-miute mark after an assist by Sophie Hackett.Holding off Upperman’s offense until late in the second half, Hackett scored a goal to give the Tigereettes a 2-0 lead with 10 minutes left to play in the first half.Hitting the pitch after the break, Upperman couldn’t convert until just before the buzzer when Ruby Fields scored for the Lady Bees.DeKalb’s goalkeeper Meghan Brandt didn’t see much action in the contest, with two critical saves, keeping the Tigerettes with a 1-goal win.DeKalb gets a break before travelling to Stone Memorial on Sept. 26. Game time is 6 p.m.
