The DeKalb County Tigerettes hosted Livingston Academy Thursday, and handed the Lady Wildcats an 11-3 thrashing.
DeKalb scored eleven runs on eleven hits and committed two errors on their way to the win. Livingston Academy scored three runs on nine hits and made one error. The Tigerettes scored one run in the first inning, seven runs in the third, and three runs in the sixth, The Lady Wildcats scored two in the second and one in the third.
Winning pitcher Kayley Caplinger, struck out eleven batters.
Kayley Caplinger put in three singles, and Dani Meadows slapped two. Myranda Bailiff, Hannah Walker, Allison Maynard, and Lexi Bates dropped in a single each, and Tyra Graham and Katie Hall doubled for the Tigerette offense.
The ladies will travel to Smith County on April 23 to play the Lady Warriors at 4:30 p.m., and are set to meet Upperman in DeKalb at 4:30 on April 27.
