The Tigers played a hard fought game against White County last week.

After soundly defeating York Institute at home on Monday, April 22, the DeKalb County Tigers traveled to the Dragon’s lair in Jamestown the following day, where they slew their foes in near a repeat. 
In the 12-1 win, DeKalb scored three runs in the first inning, one in the third, five runs in the fifth, one in the sixth, and two in the seventh.  The Dragons scored one run in the fourth and another in the seventh. 
Tigers’ pitcher, Cody Puckett, gave up two runs on three hits, while striking out 14 and walking one.
Stephen Howell, A.J. Mooneyham, Evan Curtis, Hunter Graham, Sam McMillen, Chase Hoke, Seth Stanley, John Roller, and Aaron Patterson each recorded one hit, while Cody Puckett and Devin Summers each came away with two.
The scheduled Thursday game between the Tigers and Gordonsville was cancelled with no make-up game. 
On Friday, the DeKalb County Tigers hosted White County, where they beat the Warriors in an 11-inning battle. 
The Tigers took the early lead with one run in the bottom of the second inning, but White County came back in the third, scoring two runs.  DeKalb tied things up in fifth inning with one run, and took the lead again in the sixth with another run.  But, the Warriors would not go down, as they tied the game with one run in the seventh inning.
In the bottom of the 11th inning Aaron Patterson led off with a double to right.  AJ Mooneyham then hit a first pitch fastball to right to drive in Aaron for the win.  The 4-3 win improves the Tigers to 18-4 on the year.
Hunter Graham pitched five innings, giving up two runs on two hits, striking out six and walking five. Chase Hoke then pitched for one and two-thirds innings, giving up one run on two hits and striking out one. Cody Puckett pitched for three and a-third innings, giving up two hits and striking out nine. Devin Summers closed out the game, walking one.
Hunter Graham, Seth Stanley, Devin Summers, and A.J. Mooneyham each got one hit during the game, while Evan Curtis and Steven Page each took two.  Aaron Patterson made four hits during play. 
The Tigers planned to wrap up the regular season at home on Monday, but the senior night event against Watertown was postponed. The district tournament starts Thursday.
