The DeKalb County High School Tigers Soccer Team took on a tough opponent from Merrol Hyde last week in front of a hometown crowd.
On April 1, the two teams faced off, and it was the Tigers who actually struck first. Eli Lomas came away with a goal, with an assist from Ricky Spare, 21 minutes into the game.
Merrol Hyde would not be that easy however, and the team tied the score with a goal 10 minutes before halftime. MH scored again, taking the 2-1 lead, just two minutes before the end of the half.
The game would be a battle through much of the second half, but once again it was Merrol Hyde that came away with a goal. MH scored 60 minutes into the game, and again seven minutes later. Merrol Hyde took the victory, 4-1.
DeKalb goalkeeper Skylar Pease had seven saves in the game, while Miguel Ramirez had one.
