DCHS is on the hunt for a new baseball coach.
DeKalb County Tiger Baseball Coach Tracy Slone, who was named baseball coach and wellness teacher three years ago, will apparently not be returning to the high school as a coach or a teacher next school year. In his three seasons, Slone compiled an overall record of 53-50 in three seasons at the Tiger’s helm. The Tigers went 26-16 in district play and 8-7 in the post season during Slone’s tenure.
The position has been posted on the TSSAA website, and reads as follows:
“DeKalb County High School is seeking Head Baseball coach. Current teaching positions available: Secondary Math, World History/Geography and PE. If you are interested, contact Kathy Bryant: (615) 597-4094 or kathybryant@dekalbschools.net.”
