The fourth time was the charm as the DeKalb Tigers defeated the Cannon County Lions Tuesday evening in the first round of the 8AA playoffs,  57-40.

The Tigers led the entire second half as they kept the pressure on throughout the game despite their double digit lead for most of the half.  The Tigers grabbed the advantage late in the second period after trailing by as many as five in the early going.  The win avenges the three regular season losses the Tigers had to the Woodbury squad as it sends the Lions home for the season. 

The win sends the Tigers to a must win game Wednesday night. A win and they will move on to regionals.  A loss and their season is over.
