The DeKalb County Tigers Football team attended a scrimmage last Wednesday at Friendship Christian in Lebanon. The scrimmage was originally scheduled for Friday, but with a forecast of heavy rain and possible thunderstorms, the game was rescheduled for Wednesday.

The practice was also originally scheduled to be a three-way practice between Friendship Christian, DeKalb, and Pearl Cohn, but Pearl had to drop out due to scheduling.

The practice saw some of DeKalb’s talent on the field with some good running, and a nice catch by Jonathon Munoz, but the game also tested the Tigers’ defense. The D struggled to keep FC out of the end zone, but Head Coach Steve Trapp never shows his cards during the preseason with some somewhat vanilla play calling during the scrimmage. As Coach Trapp has said, the preseason is about getting some of the young players some on-the-field playing time before the regular season.
